Betty P.
Betty crochets gorgeous baby clothes and items! Her story about why is pretty amazing:
"I'd like to share a little bit of the reason I am so passionate about making baby items. My precious mother passed away in Oct., 2010. During the last week of her life, she was struggling with dementia and sometimes would say things that we couldn't figure out what she was trying to tell us. One evening, she grabbed my hand and said she couldn't go yet. She kept asking me over and over again, "Who's going to take care of the babies?" My mother had six children and loved babies with her whole being. I never could figure out why she was so worried about "the babies"... and this troubled me no end. Soooo one night, after she had been gone for a couple of months, I picked up my crochet hook and started making some baby clothes and all of a sudden, I had such a peace come over me. Even though I don't know exactly what mom meant, I felt that maybe in some small way, I would be fulfilling her wish to "take care of the babies." My prayer is that these items will help keep some precious babies warm and comfortable..." We are so excited to have Betty on our team!
